Obituary for Harold Taylor
of Elmira passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the age of 95. Harold was born, November 10, 1921 in Elmira, NY, a son to the late Jesse and Emma Bailey Taylor. Harold is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlotte Spencer Taylor; son, Thomas Taylor; and brother, Lehman F. Taylor. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Bob) Elliott of Horseheads, NY and Debbie (Paul) Chase of Clinton, MA; grandchildren, Jill (Eric) Nelson, Jeff (Christine) Elliott, Erica Devlin, Andrew Chase, Daniel (Erin) Chase; great grandchildren, Katelyn and Hannah Nelson, Luke Devlin, Savannah and Nathan Elliott; many special nieces and nephews. Harold served his country honorably with the US Army during WWII and retired after 43 years at Kennedy Valve. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan’s Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 12:30PM-2:30PM with his Funeral Service to follow. He will be laid to rest immediately following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Elmira, NY with Military Honors.
