Armondo J. Andreine Jr. "Armond"\nElmira Heights, NY \nPassed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 at the age of 80. Armond was born November 19, 1939, son of the late Armondo J. And Lena Lupo Andreine Sr. He was also predeceased by his late wife, Antonette Andreine in March 2011. Armond graduated from Mechanicville High School, Siena College, Hudson Valley Technical Institute and University of Michigan. Armond's love of engines and anything mechanical began with his family owned garage in Mechanicville and later went to jet engines and fire trucks. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister. He was very active in the fire service belonging to West Elmira Fire Dept., Lake George Volunteer Fire Dept. and Town & Country Fire Dept., where he was awarded lifetime status in 2018. Armond is survived by his wife, Kimberly Curle Andreine; son, David (Lori) Andreine; daughter Melissa (Kipp) Wendland; four grandchildren; several extended family members and a multitude of friends. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 4-6PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick's, Elmira, on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 11AM with Fr. Richard Farrell. He will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemtery, Elmira, NY immediately following.
