Beverly J. Benjamin\nHorseheads NY \nPassed away Sunday evening, April 18, 2021 at the age of 89. Beverly was born on November 15, 1931, in Binghamton, NY, the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Williams Howard. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond "George" Benjamin. Bev is survived by her daughter, Judy Difasi and her children, Nick (Stephanie), Jenelle (Ryan); sons, Raymond (Sherry) Benjamin and their sons, Bob (Danielle), Jeff (Denise) and Steven (Shontae), and Bryan (Patti) Benjamin and their children Dan, Josh (Kelly), Katie (Mark), William, and Andrew; great grandchildren, Blake, Jax, Axl, Rafe, Smith, Gianna, Bristol, Jase, Wyatt, Callie, Logan, Miles, Owen and Gavin; brothers-in-law, Edmund (Charlotte) Benjamin, and Clinton (Mary) Benjamin; sisters-in-law, Joanne (Dennis) Dyer and Theresa Smith and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dear family friend Sandy Hoffman. Bev retired from Horseheads Central School District after 30 years in food service and was a communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Church. She was devoted to her family. She had 64 wonderful years of marriage with her late husband. Together, they loved traveling, bowling, playing games and spending summers at their lakefront cottage making memories with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her support and commitment in all of the families activities throughout the years. To all those that knew her, she will be loved and missed dearly. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St., at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 4-6PM. As all are welcomed, we will be adhering to NYS regulations for social distancing and attendance. Her Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 11AM with Deacon Dan Hurley. She will be laid to rest along side her husband at Laurel Hill Cemetery immediately following.
