Charlene H. Griffin (Avery) Obituary (1947 - 2014)

GRIFFIN, Charlene H. Age 66 of Cayuta, NY passed away Friday afternoon, December 5, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Charlene was born December 26, 1947 in Elmira, NY, a daughter of the late LaMar "Bert" and Pauline Congdon Avery. Charlene was a loving wife, mother grandmother and great grndmother. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald "Griff" and brother, Larry Avery. Survivors include her loving family; son, Eric (Dawn) Griffin of Cayuta, NY, daughter, Paula (Michael) Grantier of Cayuta, NY and son Tyler Griffin of Sullivanville, NY; grandchildren: Ashley and Kendra Grantier, and Makayla and Jared Griffin; great grandson, Markus Bailey; brothers, Llewllyn (Hanelore) Avery, and Daryl (Pat) Avery; sisters; Darla (Jeff) Hall and Jocelyn (Mike) Almon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13 Horseheads, NY on Monday December 8, 2014 from 4-6 PM. Charlene's Memorial Service will be held at the conclusion of Sunday Service at Sullivanville United Methodist Church in Sullivanville on December 14, 2014 at 12:30 PM with Pastor Kevin Austin. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family graciously accepts remembrances with donations in Charlene's memory to Sullivanville United Methodist Church, 69 Old Sullivanville Rd, Horseheads, NY 14845.
