Passed away at age 43 with her loving family by her side on Saturday, June 25, 2022.  Courtney was born on October 23, 1978, daughter of John and Janet Tighe.  Courtney was a mortgage broker for Twin Tier Mortgage in Elmira, NY.  She graduated from Horseheads High School in 1996 and attended Corning Community College. 
A devoted mother and cheer mom, she always put others before herself and took the ultimate pride in the many accomplishments of her two beloved daughters who she absolutely adored.  No one had a bigger heart than Courtney.  When times got tough, she had her loved one’s backs and without a second thought was there before they even realized they needed her to be.  Anyone who met her was instantly drawn to her warm personality and altruistic nature. 
Courtney is survived by her husband Patrick; daughters Haylee and Laken; parents John and Janet Tighe; brother Ian (Kate) Tighe and their children Annabelle and Cameron; extended family members, and host of friends including best friends Tim, Kate, Kelly, and Jenn.
Courtney and Patrick are a storybook romance, meeting in high school and never looking back. While most high school relationships don’t last, they threw precedent out the window and said, “watch this.” For those that witnessed it, there was an instant love and devotion that is unmatched and without a doubt that they had found their soul mate.  Watching them interact, one would quickly realize that they had both a best friendship and a loving partnership that many never find in their entire lives. For 30 years they were inseparable, even finding a way to merge their personal and professional lives so they always were by each other’s side.
Courtney may have passed far too young, but she lived an incredible life full of joy, happiness, success, travel, and unconditional love for and from her family.  She will never be forgotten by anyone lucky enough to have their path in life cross hers.
Courtney is pre-deceased by her maternal grandparents, Clarence and Dorothy; in-laws, Harold and Karin Bola and paternal grandmother, Barbara Tighe.
Family and friends are invited to Sullivan’s Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY, on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 4PM – 7PM with her Funeral Service immediately following. She will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
