D'Etta Merkle (Kerber) Obituary (1949 - 2020)

D'Etta C. Merkle Of Horseheads, NY Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 70. She was born January 25, 1949 in Chicago IL, a daughter of John and Audrey Davis Kerber. D'Etta was survived by her two daughters, Kim L. (Steven) Palmarozzo and Lauren N. Merkle; grandchildren, Dylan, Blair, Tyler, Audrey; mother, Audrey; siblings, Kay (Paul) Rietz, Joanne (Jim) McGuire, Craig (Cindy) Kerber, and Christine (Alan) Schoffner; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was an avid animal lover, outstanding baker and chef, and loved to travel and explore the wonderful Finger Lakes wine region. It was her wish that services be held privately at the convenience of her family.
