MAYES, E. PAULETTE\nOf Big Flats, NY and formerly of Lindley, NY went to be with her LORD unexpectedly on Saturday evening, November 12, 2011 at the age of 69. Paulette was born May 28, 1942 in Elmira, NY a daughter of the late Warden Grant Bostwick and Etta Mae Jarman. She received her degree at CCC in secretarial science and was employed by His Tabernacle until her retirement at which point continued on to volunteer. Paulette is survived by children, David Mayes, Chad Mayes, Crystal (Chris) Myers and Rhonda (Micheal) Spencer; grandchildren, Cody, Chad and Coryn Spencer, Christopher, John and Timothy Myers and Juston, Rhandalyn and Kurtis Mayes; brother, Robert (Darlene) Bostwick and nieces and nephews. She was a foster mother to many in both Chemung and Steuben County. The family will welcome relatives and friends to a celebration of Paulette's Life at His Tabernacle, 16 Level Acres Dr., Horseheads, NY at 12 noon, Wednesday, November 16, 2011. She will be laid to rest at a private family service. All who knew Paulette knew her as a faithful, loyal, loving mother and a life-long friend. She was a founding member of His Tabernacle Family Church, a children's teacher and seniors director. She taught us all to love, serve and to be consistent. Everyone will miss her presence as she is now rejoicing with her Savior. The family respectfully request that memorials be made in Paulette's name to His Tabernacle, PO Box 189, Horseheads, NY for the development of a children's playground.
