Passed away peacefully on October 1, 2019 at the age of 101. She was born on December 22, 1917, in New York, NY, the daughter of the late John and Rose Murphy Haughey. She was a graduate of St. John's University in NYC, served honorably in the Army Nurse Corps in the Asian Pacific Campaign during WWII, and retired as a public health nurse with Chemung County. Fran is predeceased by her husband, William H. Pusey; siblings Margaret Ratchford, Ann Rooney, Mary Knaack, Eileen Roberts, John Haughey, and Peter Haughey; sons, Kevin Pusey, Brian Pusey; daughter, Martha Lux; grandson, Caleb Aures. She is survived by her children, William and Patti Pusey, Rosemary and Cy Aures, Ellen and John Himmelreich; grandchildren, William Pusey, Sean Pusey, Noah Pusey, Damien Pusey, Kiernan Pusey, Bonnie Lane, Brittany Pusey, Shane Krotz, Keane Aures, Erin Mendillo, Julia and Tim Schulz, James Himmelreich, Jarritt Himmelreich, Kevin Pusey, Megg Lindley, Erin Graf, Adam Pusey, Christopher Pusey, Brian Pusey, Matthew Pusey, Kathy Maxwell, Beth Nealon, Matthew Lux, Andrew Lux, Adrienne Lux, and Margy Dekle; 36 great grandchildren; sister, Betty and Art Farrell and numerous family members. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY, on Friday, October 4, 2019, from 4-7 PM. A Private Gravesite Service will be held at St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery, Horseheads, NY, on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the convenience of the family.
