Lifelong resident of Horseheads passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2013 at the age of 91, surrounded by her loving family. Frances was born October 14, 1922 in Veteran, NY, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Pastirick Kocourek. She graduated from Horseheads High School at the age of 15 and was very involved in 4H, and the Horseheads Women's Fireman's Auxiliary. She was the proprietor of Sullivan's Diner for over 31 years and Co-owner of Sullivan Bros. Truckmen and Sullivan's Fire Apparatus. Frances is predeceased by husband, Arthur Sullivan; son,Richard "Dickie" Sullivan; grandson Michael Hall and siblings, Emelia Frycek, Paul Kocourek and Franklin Kocourek. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Helen (Richard) Hall; son, Arthur F. (Darlene) Sullivan; daughter-in-law, Carol Sullivan; grandchildren, Kevin (Lorrie) Sullivan, Bridget (Jeremy Ackerman) Sullivan, Patrick (Cassie) Sullivan, Dennis Hall, Jennifer (Sam) Nichols, Trisha (Chris) Butera, Timothy (Krystle) Hall, Michelle (Ryan) Ignaszewski; great grandchildren, Hannah, Abbey, Grace, Devin, Teagan, Alex, Owen, Brogan, Harley, Elise, Kelsey and Hadley; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Jackie Egger, Ila Williams, Patricia Martello, Fran Decker and a host of friends. The family will welcome relatives and friends on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St, at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY from 1PM to 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Our Mother Church, 816 W. Broad St., Horseheads, NY on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 10AM with Rev. Christopher Linsler. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband and son immediately following at St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery.
