Francis J. Cox\nOf Horseheads, NY passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family on Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the age of 93. Frank was born June 3, 1925 in Elmira, NY son of the late Frank and Bridget (Moran) Cox. He was predeceased by his children, Ann, Frank and Bridget Cox; sister, MaryLou McGarrell. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Rosalie Ludwig Cox; children, Ramona Patrick, Yvette (Steve) Cheuvront, Michael (Julie) Cox, Patrick (Kay) Cox, Matthew (Cindy) Cox, Christopher Cox, Mary Rosettie, Amy (Greg) Cole; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy McInnis and Eleanor Woodard; brother, Robert (Mary) Cox; daughter-in-law, Susan Cox; many extended family members, close friends and colleagues. Frank served his country honorably with the US Navy during WWII and was a developer and contractor for several years in the area. He will be lovingly remembered for his hard work, craftsmanship, sense of humor and his deep love for his family. Family and friends are welcome to a Mass of Christian Burial at Ss. Peter and Paul's Church, Elmira, NY on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 10AM with Rev. Richard Farrell. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Woodlawn National Cemetery immediately following.
