George Cruise was born May 17th, 1930 and passed away on May 21st, 2023. He was one of six children born to Esther and Tom Cruise. He was predeceased by brothers Bob, Earl and Bill Cruise, and sister Caroline Labosky. His sister Jane Brown is a resident of Rochester NY. George had four children who consider themselves to have been blessed to have him as their father, advice giver and supporter. Linda Cruise of Canandaigua NY, Kim Cruise (Scott Cooper) of Canandaigua NY, Deb Cruise (Glenn Rogers) of Naples, FL and Alan Cruise (Julie Cruise) of Seattle, WA will cherish the memories of being raised by him and Rhoda Huston in Elmira Heights, NY. George was also a loving grandfather to Tara, Matthew, Nicholas, Lexi, Tyler, Alex, Jocelyn and Cassandra. He was known by all to be a gentleman with a happy soul. He was a veteran of the Korean war, a proud member of US Army 82 Airborne. He was joined in life for over 30 years by his loving wife Jean Cruise. He worked most of his career for Moore Business Forms. \n\n George had many friends, nieces, nephews, step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and so, there are many fun and loving memories to be shared. In this way, he will live on, as his loved ones enjoy these memories into the future.\n\nGeorge's passing gives true meaning to the sentiment, "may he rest in peace" as he so richly deserves to do so.\n\nFamily and friends are invited to Sullivan’s Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY, on Friday May 26, 2023 from 11AM-12PM with his Funeral Service and Military Honors to follow. He will be laid to rest with his family at Gillett Cemetery following the funeral.
