George G. Gresock\nHorseheads, NY\nPassed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 89. George was born on July 8, 1931 in Anita, PA, the son of the late George and Mary Ardeck Gresock. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Anna, Mary Lou, Bette, Salle, Connie, Jerome and Paul. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Anna L. Anderson Gresock; son, Greg (Kathy) Gresock of Penfield, NY, daughter, Jennifer (Dale) Sawyer of Horseheads, NY; his dear grandchildren, Zachary, Stephanie, Matthew and Ryan; sister, Sandra Gretsinger; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. George retired from Westinghouse after 30 years as an engineering specialist in electronic imaging. He was very proud to have worked on the cameras used to take videos on the Apollo moon missions. George's retirement job was driving limousine where he enjoyed being with countless loyal customers. Among many hobbies, George hunted, fished, bowled, camped with the Scouts, and, most of all, he loved building projects around the house. He was a communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Church in Horseheads and served as extraordinary minister for several decades. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Nocturnal Adoration Society and helped out at many church functions. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St., at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 4-6PM. As all are welcomed, we will be adhering to local regulations. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary Our Mother Church on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 11am with Fr. Christopher Linsler. George will be laid to rest at St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery with Military Honors immediately following.
