Gerry graduated in 1969 from Corning West High School and in 1973 from SUNY Cortland with a degree in Secondary Geology. He was the 3rd generation to be employed by Corning Inc, and retired from Sullivan Park after 36 years. Gerry served as Cubmaster of Pack 86 and Scoutmaster of Troop 87, sharing his knowledge and love of hunting, fishing, and camping. He was an avid outdoorsman. He also devoted many years to coaching soccer and serving on the CVSA Board, a devotion passed on to his son Geoff. Like Garrett, Gerry was a die hard Bills fan and had attended many games at Rich Stadium. Gerry spent his last few years bedridden but fought every day. The highlight of Gerrys day was a sweet treat, particularly apple pie. The family welcomes your condolences and prayers at this time, but services will be held privately at a later date. Rest in peace Gerry, climbing the hills of Heaven with Garrett and your dear friend, Ken Doud.
