Burns, Jack Henry of Horseheads, NY passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Jack was born April 21, 1944 in Bradford, PA, son of the late John Henry and Anna Mae Lowry Burns. He is also predeceased by his brother-in-law, John Fletcher. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Joan Page Burns; son, Kevin (Teri) Burns with their children, Cassondra and Jack: daughters, Jennifer (Daniel) Knapp and their children, Payton, Lainey and Boedi, and Jessica (Michael) Hintz and their daughter Montana; sister-in-law, Donna Fletcher; brother-in-law, John (Bonnie) Page; nieces, Melissa (Tim) Tremba and their children Taylor and Toby, and Debra Wood and her daughter Ella; nephew, Brian (Alyssa) Page and their children Makenna and Jake and several cousins. Jack served his country honorably with the US Army, retired from Elmira Correctional Facility and was a member of the Living Word Evangelical Free Church in Elmira. He will be lovingly remembered for his laughter and enjoyed time spent with his family. Relatives and friends are welcome to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 4PM - 6 PM with Funeral Services at the conclusion of hours with Pastor Paul Moxon. He will be laid to rest with military honors at the convenience of the family. Because Jack was a kind soul, in lieu of flowers, please consider doing a good deed for someone in his memory.
