Joan M. Whitaker (Sullivan) Obituary (1935 - 2017)

WHITAKER, Joan M. of Horseheads passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the age of 82. Joan was born, January 11, 1935 in Elmira, NY, a daughter to the late William and Nora O'Neil Sullivan. Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Tom; siblings John Sullivan, William Sullivan, Kathleen Dunn, James Sullivan, Robert Sullivan, Thomas Sullivan, Mary Lou Sullivan, Margaret Steed, and Gerald Sullivan. She is survived by her loving family, daughter Suellen (Douglas) Smith, Margaret (Rocky) Hepfner, Beth (Ron) Woodard, and William T. Whitaker Jr.; grandchildren, Jamie (Bridget), Brad, Shea, Kristen, Mackenzie, Kimberly, Taylor; great grandchildren, Trevor, Brianna, Tyler, Tanner and Kaylin; sister, Ann Starr; numerous nieces nephews and cousins. It was Joan's wishes that no formal services be held. She will be laid to rest with family at Maple Grove Cemetery.
