John Anthony Cook, of Chenango Forks, NY, passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at the age of sixty-five, surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Cook, and his two children and their families: Kristen Cook and her husband, Eduardo Miranda, and Kevin Cook and his partner, Sydney Forcier, as well as John’s granddaughter, Sophia Cook. Those who knew him best will remember his late-night, summertime guitar jams around the campfire, his jokes, his commitment to building his own waterfall, and his passion for music.

On behalf of John’s family, we’d like to extend our deepest gratitude to the staff at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Specifically, our newfound family, Hunter, Caitlyn, Emily, Danielle, Wanda, and Meg. We could not and would not have been able to get through this time without your help. You brought ease to what was sure to be one of our most challenging experiences as a family, and we appreciate all of your positivity, honesty, support, empathy, and care.
