Laurence J. "Moto" Mattola Obituary (1941 - 2017)

MATTOLA, Laurence J. "Moto" Age 75 of Horseheads, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Larry was born on July 23, 1941 to Ralph and Mildred Schan Mattola along with his twin sister, Judy (Frank) Garrahan in Brooklyn, NY. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy Flynn Mattola and daughter, Maren Schiefen and favorite son-in-law, Carl. He leaves behind two beautiful granddaughters, Amanda and Jessica who he cherished, adored and was so proud of. His passion in life was golf and hockey and he played over 834 courses. We are truly blessed to have the greatest neighbors who have been so supportive- Daileys, Woodworths and Smiths. We are also honored and grateful for friends who visited him these last months and to all the doctors, nurses, Corning Guthrie, Bethany staff and CareFirst who treated him with such respect, kindness and compassion. It was Larry's wishes that a celebration of his life will be held and scheduled this spring.
