Leslie Bruce Vaughn Obituary (1936 - 2021)

Leslie Bruce Vaughn Horseheads, NY Went home to be with his Lord and savior on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the age of 84. Leslie was born on June 13, 1936 in Sayre, PA to the late Leslie G. Vaughn Sr. and Susie Morse. He was a 1954 graduate of Watkins Glen Central School, and attended Syracuse University and was a 1970 graduate of Elmira College. He worked as a quality control engineer at Westinghouse for over 30 years. And later employed by Purolator and Surface Finish Technology. He was an avid member of the Boy Scouts of America and a life long member of the Watkins Glen and Horseheads First United Methodist Churches. He frequently participated in the Walk to Emmaus as well as a supply pastor at the Breesport and North Chemung Methodists Churches. He is survived by his wife Doris Vanderhoef Vaughn with whom they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary this past September; son Gregory B. Vaughn of Averill Park, NY; daughter Pamela (Carl) Garritt of Cragsmoor, NY; sister Nancy (Ernest) Williams; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Martha "Luella" and Harold Forrest; grandchildren Victoria and Elaina Garritt, and several extended family members, colleagues and friends. The family welcomes your condolences and prayers at this time but services will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest in Laurel Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
