Lysle J. Gathany Obituary (1928 - 2013)

of Horseheads, went to be with his Lord on, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the age of 85. Lysle was born, January, 24, 1928 in Great Bend, PA, to the late John and Florence Rice Gathany. Lysle is preceded in death by his loving wife, M. Evelyn Lee Gathany; brother Don Gathany and sister, Julia. He is survived by his children, Bob (Lou) Gathany of Huntsville, AL, Susan (Bob) Guldenschuh of Erie, PA, Nancy (Bill) Schierloh of Elmira Heights, NY and Bill (Bonnie) Gathany of Cedar Rapids, IA; brother, Leon Gathany of Toccoa, GA; sister, Eloise Biggin of Marmora, NJ; son-in-law, Dan (Sylvia Miller) Lewis of Gillett, PA; grandchildren, Jenifer, Jonathan, Mike, Jordan, Karen, Christopher, Heather, Andrew, Daniel and Benjamin; great grandchildren, Lori, Mark, Bobby, Melanie, Sadie and Hunter; several brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 2PM-5PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 10AM on Monday, February, 11, 2013 at the Community Wesleyan Church, 2095 Grand Central Ave, Horseheads, NY officiated by Pastor Dan Barner, Pastor Robert Russell and Pastor Tim Maynard. He will be laid to rest beside his wife, Evelyn in Maple Grove Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers those wising to remember Lysle may make memorials to a charity of one's choice.
