Marilyn K. "Punkie" Vonderchek Obituary (1951 - 2014)

VONDERCHEK, MARILYN K. "Punkie" of Horseheads, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday evening, September 6, 2014 at the age of 63. She was born on July 19, 1951, a daughter of Merrill and Dorothy Andrus Kellogg. Mairlyn is predeceased by her father, Merrill and sister, Georgianne Thompkins. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Joseph Vonderchek of Horseheads, NY; children, LuAnn (Scott) Semski of Elmira, NY, TammyJo Vonderchek of Horseheads, NY and Kristy (Stephen) Jr. Saunders of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Tyler, TJ, Dylan, Alex, Nathan, Tanner and Brayden; mother, Dorothy Kellogg; brother, Brent Kellogg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Marilyn was a secretary for Oakwood United Methodist Church for 20 years, and later worked for Burlington Coat Factory. She was a devoted wife, mom, and enjoyed sewing. Relatives and friends are invited to call at Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St., at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 4-6PM where her service will follow at 6PM with Pastor Tim Maynard. She will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Elmira, NY on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 11AM.
