Nancy Elizabeth O'Daniels\nPhelps, NY\nPassed away Sunday, May 16, 2021. Nancy was born on January 22, 1940, in Elmira, New York, the daughter of Raymond and Helen Ferguson O'Daniels. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Virginia O'Daniels Doolittle, Jean O'Daniels Jackson and niece Deborah Doolittle Rice. Nancy graduated from EFA in 1958 and went on to graduate from Highland Hospital School of Nursing in 1961. She attended U of R, RIT and Brockport part time. Nancy was employed at the University of Rochester Medical Center with physicians Arthur J Moss, cardiac and rare genetic heart disorders specialist; and Arthur J Redmond, one of the best diagnosticians in New York state. Nancy retired in 1992 after 30 years of nursing and was a member of St. Dominic's Church in Shortsville, NY. Nothing made Nancy happier than being with her family and celebrating life's milestones. Nancy is survived by her niece Terry Doolittle Vine of Horseheads and nephews Gary Doolittle of Bath, NY; Thomas Doolittle of Elmira, NY; Douglas Jackson of New Orleans, LA; Bruce Jackson of Tucson, AZ; and Scott Jackson of Elmira, NY. Nancy also has numerous great and great great nieces and nephews. All surviving family members remember Aunt Nancy making Christmas's and Birthdays special. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St., at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 2-4PM. As all are welcome, we will be adhering to current NYS regulations for social distancing. A Funeral Service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 4PM with Fr. Scott Kubinski. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
