Potter. \n\nKnown affectionately as Raymie by his friends and family, he was born on August 13, 1960, in Syracuse, NY, and embraced the world with his exceptional spirit until May 12, 2023.\n\nRaymie had a knack for making people smile and filling any room with laughter. His love for bowling, latch hook, ceramics, music, and video games reflected his colorful personality. Raymie's dedication to his favorite hobbies earned him several bowling trophies and Special Olympics ribbons. Whether he was belting out his favorite tunes or sporting his cherished collection of hats during family gatherings, Raymie was the life of the party. He continued to share his infectious joy after transitioning to a nursing home in 2018, where he enjoyed the company of many new friends.\n\nRaymie's journey through life was marked by the unwavering love and support of his family. Although born during a time when many Down syndrome babies were institutionalized, Raymie was embraced and celebrated by his loving family. He thrived and flourished in their care, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
