Raymond E. "Ray" Sherwood Obituary (1932 - 2011)

SHERWOOD, RAYMOND EDWARD Age 79 of Horseheads, NY passed away Friday, May 27, 2011. He was born in Elmira, NY and spent most of his life in the Elmira and Horseheads area. After graduating from Elmira Free Academy, he joined the Marines where he spent three years serving his country, including services in Korea. He belonged to the IUOE (Internal Union of Engineers), retiring in 1991. In 1967, he married Deloris Dries Sherwood, who survives him. It was Raymond's wish that there be no calling hours or services. He will be laid to rest in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery in Horseheads, NY at the convenience of the family.
