Susan M. Cotton \nHorseheads, NY \n\nPassed away as a result of Alzheimers on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the age of 77. Susan was born April 13, 1945 in Salem, MA, a daughter of the late John A. and Isaleen Sinclair Montgomery. \n\nIn addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by brother, Dr. Kim Montgomery. Susan is survived by her husband of 54 years, Douglas Cotton; son, Mark Cotton and daughter, Amy and son-in-law Donald Lynn with their children, Annie, Cooper and Ben; brother, Lee Montgomery; sisters-in-law, Linda Ross and Susan Montgomery and several nieces, nephews and cousins. \n\nSusan graduated from Wells College and earned Masters Degrees in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and West Chester University. She retired from the Dryden Central School District after 15 years as an elementary school counselor. She loved her job and was very involved locally with Literacy Volunteers and very supportive of Chemung County Meals on Wheels.\n\nThe family will welcome relatives and friends to First Presbyterian Church, 2943 Westinghouse Rd., Horseheads, NY 14845 for her Memorial Service on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10AM with Rev.
