\n\nPARKHOUSE, VALERIE BETTY\n\nAge 82 of Elmira, NY died on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Bethany Manor. Valerie was born in Mombasa, Kenya on August 26, 1933 to Wilfred & Elizabeth (Williams) Hall. She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald C. Parkhouse of Elmira; step-son, Christopher Parkhouse; step-daughter, Kirsten McGrath; daughter-in-law, Peta Parkhouse; grandchildren, Elizabeth Parkhouse, Edward Parkhouse, Elliott Parkhouse, Ethan Parkhouse, Erin Parkhouse, & Megan McGrath; great grandson, Alfie Parkhouse, all of England; niece, Wendy Hall; nephews, Lenard Hall & Trevor Hall, all of South Africa. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church Altar Guild, Elmira Wednesday Morning Club, and a supporter of the Corning Museum of Glass, the Arnot Art Museum, and the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes. Valerie was awarded a Bachelor's Degree in Arts by Elmira College, and a Master's Degree in Art History by Binghamton University. A FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 375 W. CHURCH STREET ELMIRA, ON MONDAY, JULY 11, 2016 AT 11: OO AM, FATHER ROBERT ADKINS AND FATHER HAN VAN DEN BLINK OFFICIATING. THE INTERMENT OF VALERIE'S ASHES WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE CONVENIENCE OF HER FAMILY IN SOUTH AFRICA.
