Vivian Lois Kolcun

KOLCUN, Vivian Lois Of Big Flats, NY passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at the age of 90. Vivian was born September 3, 1925 in Troupsburg, NY, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Hazel Newland Thomas. She was a graduate of Addison High School and retired from Corning Glass Works. Vivian was an active member of the Women of the Elks, enjoyed many hobbies and was an avid reader. Vivian was blessed with many years of marriage and a loving family. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, George, two brothers, three sisters and son-in-law Larry Clark. Vivian is survived by her daughters, Janet (Joseph) Ruhmel, Barbara Clark, Nancy (Alan) Terwilliger and son, Robert Kolcun (Patty); ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and caring neighbors. The family will welcome relatives and friends to a Mass of Christian Burial at St Charles Borromeo Church, 136 Oakwood Ave, Elmira Heights, NY on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 10:30AM with Rev. Scott Kubinski. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband in St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery immediately following. Those wishing to remember Vivian may make contributions to the Big Flats Library or the Big Flats Volunteer Fire Co. in her memory.
