Walter C. "Stubby" Phillips Obituary (1958 - 2011)

PHILLIPS, Walter "Stubby" C. Age 53 of Millport, NY passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011. Walter was born January 2, 1958, to Dale and Phyllis Osborn Phillips of Morris, PA. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Phyllis in 2002. Walter is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 33 years, Cindy (Collins) Phillips of Millport, NY; daughter, Desra (Christopher) Clemons of Horseheads, NY; son, Adam Phillips of Millport, NY; adored grandchildren, Ashlie, Marissa and Zachary; father, Dale (Gwen) Phillips, New York father and special friend Dick (Freda) Rodabaugh; father-in-law and mother-in-law; Tom (Blanche) Collins; brothers, Butch (Gloria) Phillips, Buster (Paula) Phillips; sister, Sis (Phil) Plumley and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 4PM and 8PM. Walter's Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 11AM with Pastor Karen Boone. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
